A little preparation helps us make the most of your appointment
Acess to care
Rideau MD offers several ways to reach a doctor when you need one. Same-day and next-day appointments are available for urgent concerns, after hours care is offered across our three locations, and you can book online at any time. If you are not sure whether you need to be seen, call our office and our staff can help direct you.
What to bring to your appointment
Your health card and a piece of personal identification.
Details of any other medical coverage or insurance plans you have.
Any requested health records, test results, or imaging, along with tracking logs such as blood sugar, blood pressure, pain, or headache diaries if your doctor asked you to keep one.
An up to date emergency contact name and phone number, along with your current address and phone number.
A list of any other healthcare providers you have seen recently, the reason for the visit, and what they told you.
Any updates to your medications, including changes made by a specialist since your last visit, plus any over the counter drugs, vitamins, supplements, or herbal remedies you are taking.
Please arrive 10 minutes early for your scheduled appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours notice whenever possible.
